Marrinan's Brush with
Danger  - Disabled
for 6-8 weeks !

Sept 5, 2001 - New York - Just when you thought it was a slow summer, of all people, PMarrinan decides to liven things up a bit right before the long Labor Day weekend. PMarrinan counts his blessings after a serious altercation with a NYC Taxicab last week.   On Thursday, Aug. 30th, PMarrinan was travelling southbound on Second Avenue when a NYC Cab took an unexpected wide right turn onto E 55th Street.  In one swift motion, Peter was able to avoid getting sideswiped by the cab,  but fell off his White Kestrel bicycle, the Ferrari of bicycles.  However, while performing this evasive maneuver, Marrinan fell and landed on his left side, breaking his femur  while in the path of an oncoming van.  On the brighter side of this tale of woe, the Bear Stearns executive was able to breathe a sigh of relief as the van stopped short - nearly crushing him.

'...it could've been a lot worse...' said Marrinan from his secluded Upper Saddle River compound in Bergen County, NJ. 'I don't have a single scratch on me otherwise.'

Get Well correspondence may be sent to (ironically) whitebike@yahoo.com as he changes lanes to a different road where there are no cabs, ...the speedy road to recovery. No phone calls please.

Sept. 11, 2001 - New York - Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those with friends and family members involved in the aftermath of the heinous, barbarous act of terrorism that has deeply affected all of us.  Below are photographs taken 30 seconds after 2 WTC was hit and a photo of one of the airplane engines and the crater created on the corner of Church and Murray Streets.  If anyone has any news about our colleagues, please e-mail msccg@onebox.com.  A website has been established to assist families of SOP personnel to communicate with one another at http://www.sopfriends.homestead.com

In addition, employee lists have also been established at other MSCCG client websites below:

A Message to Friends and Colleagues -

Sept. 14, 2001 - As we all wait and hope for the best possible outcome for our friends and their families during this very difficult time, I'd like to share the website links that have been made recently made public.  In addition, please feel free to post any thoughts, comments or feelings in the guestbook.  Like many of you, I anxiously await for any glimmer of hope to surface.  Although we are all on different career paths in different parts of the city, state, & country; we still reflect on some of the many memorable times we've shared with one another.  Several alumnus have expressed that MSCCG represented the happiest times of their careers and doubt that such a group could ever be replicated anywhere.  They share anecdotes of some of the fond memories they've had with this family away from home.  Some individuals often describe the 'closeness' that still endures to this day as abnormal. Perhaps this 'abnormality' is what keeps all of us close in both times of happiness and sorrow, just like with any other family.

As we all hope and pray for the best, in closing I would like to say with all due respect...Godspeed.

Sincerely,
Larry
